At Mara Bush Camp & Private Wing, we take our focus on eco-tourism very seriously. Being Gold – Eco rated is an important aspect and the camps offer 12 well-appointed luxury tents, each overlooking the Olare Orok River with a low carbon footprint in mind.
All walk-in tents have been designed with minimal impact on the environment, run on solar power, handcrafted furniture out of sustainable wood and materials and are designed with great attention to detail.
Mara Bush Camp won the Eco-Warrior Award 2019 for elimination and reduction of Single Use Plastic and features a number of wonderful sustainable activities as part of the Camp operation.
Experience our extra-special, unique hippo pool platform with over 50 hippos that bask in the sun and are active in the river below, offering a unique wildlife show of another kind, and, a special fire place to exchange game drive stories overlooking the wildlife infested river.
Photographic lounges in addition to well-appointed dining tents are a great asset for any planned photo workshop.
